Clinton Fire, Police Departments To Receive New Vehicles

 width=The Clinton Fire Department and Clinton Police Department could soon be seen rolling through the streets of the city in new vehicles.

Clinton Fire Chief Shawn Milton indicates his department is purchasing a new pick up truck that will replace their Chevrolet Suburban they've had for many years. He notes they will have to have it outfitted once they purchase it.

The Clinton Police Department is going to take over a vehicle they have in impound. Police Chief Ben Lowers indicates the department will also be acquiring a Chevrolet Silverado. Chief Lowers explains the vehicle could potentially be useful to any department in the city who may need it.

 width=The Silverado is worth between $15 and $20 thousand, however, Chief Lowers indicates there is still around $9-thousand left on the lean of the vehicle with minimal legal fees attached.

The Fire Department purchased the Ford pickup truck from Anderson Ford in Clinton at a cost of just over $29-thousand.
