Thursday night's meeting saw the Dewitt County Board approve the spending of budgeted Highway Department money to install a culvert. 

The board approved the hiring of an excavation service for the price of $3,200. They also hired a crane service to lift necessary pieces into place to the tune of $8,880.

Board member Terry Hoffman appeared critical of the the work done by other board members throughout the meeting. Board member Dan Ballenger told Hoffman he needed to start giving other board members credit for their work.

The next Dewitt County Board meeting will be next Thursday October 2nd at the Dewitt County Courthouse.
