DeWitt County 4-H Clubs Continue To Be Mainstay At Annual Apple and Pork Festivals

The annual Apple & Pork Festival is all about local non-profits selling items to raise money for their respective organizations.

The DeWitt County 4-H Clubs have become a mainstay at the annual festival as they set up on the County fairgrounds due north of the CH Moore Homestead grounds. Sherry Fulton, with the University of Illinois Extension, explains over the course of the weekend, 4-H participants sell various cold beverages and ice cream for visitors benefitting the DeWitt County 4-H Fairgrounds and the 4-H Foundation.

Apple & Pork is the biggest fundraiser of the entire year for many of the groups involved including 4-H. Fulton explains their booth never fails to keep busy each year due to the ever-growing annual crowds.

The kids working the 4-H booth were not only from Clinton, but also from Farmer City as well.

This year's Apple and Pork Festival drew just under 95-thousand people.
