An inmate who allegedly tried to kill himself is still in the hospital.  Officials say the man is in critical condition at Carle Hospital in Urbana.  A correctional officer found the inmate hanging from a bed sheet in his cell at the Ford County Jail on Monday.  He performed CPR until paramedics arrived.  The Illinois State Police are investigating.
