Preview of Surplus Elementary Schools This Weekend

The Clinton Community Education Foundation (CCEF) will be holding an auction next Saturday of the surplus school equipment from the former Washington and Webster Elementary Schools in Clinton.

The auction will feature a plethera of items from old heating or air conditioning units to classroom items. Those interested can get a preview of all there is going to be offered this Saturday. According to Claudine Wargel with the CCEF, the district is opening up the schools for the public to get a sneak peak at what's available.

Next week's auction will benefit the CCEF. According to Wargel, several community partners have stepped up to help them in this effort. She says Save-A-Lot and Scmidt Auction Services will be just a few of the donors for next weekend.

The first sneak peak of the items up for auction can be seen at Washington School Saturday morning at 10 am then noon at Webster School.

The auction on October 11 will start at Washington School at 9 am then shift to Webster School at noon. Washington School is located at 411 North Mulberry Street in Clinotn and Webster School is at 612 North George Street.

All proceeds from the event go towards the Clinton Educaiton Foundation and their many efforts.
