WHOW's 92.3 FM Signal to Get Upgrade; WHOW AM/FM Schedules Service Outage For Tower Work

The Federal Communications Commission has granted the application of WHOW-FM 92.3 FM, to increase its antenna height from 200 feet above ground, to 280 feet above ground.

This will increase the station's footprint across DeWitt County and surrounding area. WHOW-FM 92.3 FM simulcasts the programming of WHOW THE BIG 1520 AM.

Tower crews have been scheduled to move the 92.3 FM antennas, on Monday and Tuesday, October 6th and 7th. As a result, both of WHOW's AM and FM signals will go off the air at 3pm each day, in order to allow tower crews to safely work on the tower.

WEZC 95.9 FM will remain on the air during WHOW's service outages Monday and Tuesday.

This work is weather permitting.
