Cardinals, Dodgers Open NLDS Tonight

The St. Louis Cardinals and Los Angeles Dodgers begin their National League Division Series tonight at Dodger Stadium. Game One of the best-of-five series features a marquee pitching matchup. Twenty-game winner Adam Wainwright will be on the hill for St. Louis, while Los Angeles counters with 21-game winner and reigning NL Cy Young Award winner Clayton Kershaw. The Cardinals captured the NL Central title for the third time in four years and are seeking their third World Series title since 2006 and their 12th overall. The Dodgers are the NL West champs for the second straight year. Los Angeles is seeking its seventh World Series title but first since 1988. The Dodgers won four of seven meetings against the Cardinals this year, including three-of-four in LA.
