First lady Michelle Obama is scheduled to stump in Chicago for Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn's re-election bid.
She's expected Tuesday at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Organizers say she'll encourage early voting. She appears in a Quinn television ad released Monday where she notes the Chicago Democrat's efforts to boost Illinois' minimum wage and outreach to veterans
The first lady recently appeared at events for gubernatorial candidates in Maine and Massachusetts. She's also expected in Michigan and Iowa this week.
Early voting starts in Illinois this month, with some voters able to do so during a grace period this week.
Last week President Barack Obama campaigned for Quinn and attended a fundraiser.
Quinn, who's seeking a second full term, is being challenged by Republican businessman Bruce Rauner (ROW'-nur).
