Bruce Rauner is blaming Governor Quinn for the deaths of nearly 100 kids in Illinois. His latest ad points out that all of the kids were on the DCFS radar but eventually died of abuse or neglect.

Rauner says Quinn was ultimately responsible for protecting the kids' safety before they died, between 2010 and 2013. A Quinn spokesperson says the deaths occurred after the state made changes to its reporting requirements. The change called it neglect if a child died in an unsafe sleeping condition, like sleeping in the bed with a parent.
