A federal lawsuit claims that police in Hammond were way out of line when they broke a car window and Tasered a passenger during a traffic stop. The incident took place September 24th when officers demanded that Jamal Jones get out of a car. The suit says Jones refused because he feared the officers would harm him. A cellphone video of the incident shows an officer breaking the car window with a club and using a Taser on Jones. Jones was in the car with a female friend and her two children when the traffic stop took place.
