Apple Cake Sales Help Local Boy Scouts Troop In Yearly Expenses

The local Boy Scout troop sold several food items to help fund their yearly needs at the 46th Annual Apple & Pork Festival.

Boy Scout Troop #142 sold a large amount of apple cakes throughout Apple & Pork Weekend. Zachary Strove, with the troop, explains the proceeds would go toward all areas of the boy scouts. Items such as equipment and badges need to be paid for yearly and the apple cakes help to offset costs.

Strove noted some of the trips taken by the Boys Scouts throughout the year including several survival tests. He added Apple & Pork sales make it possible to have less fundraisers each year to make these trips possible.
