The two former Clinton elementary schools that are now vacant are likely to lose excess equipment and materials from inside the building this weekend.

The Clinton Community Educational Foundation will be holding a set of auctions at both Washington and Webster Schools this Saturday. According to Claudine Wargel, with the CCEF, various items, including air conditioners and storage furniture, from both schools will be placed on the auction block for bidders to choose from.

The CCEF is very grateful to Lance Schmid Auctions for participating on Saturday. Wargel notes the idea for the auction was born due to the fact that many of the former schools' items shouldn't go to waste.

All proceeds from the event go towards the Clinton Education Foundation and their many efforts.

Save-A-Lot will be providing lunch as well.
