League Championship Series' Back Tonight

(San Francisco, CA) -- All even at one, the National League Championship Series now shifts to San Francisco. The Giants host the St. Louis Cardinals in Game Three at AT&T Park, with first pitch at 4:07 p.m. Eastern. John Lackey is scheduled to start for St. Louis, while San Francisco sends Tim Hudson to the mound. The best-of-seven series is knotted at a game apiece after the Cardinals won Game Two 5-4 on Kolten Wong's leadoff homer in the bottom of the ninth inning Sunday in St. Louis. The Giants won the series opener 3-0 behind Madison Bumgarner. The Cards won two-of-three in San Francisco earlier this season.

(San Francisco, CA) -- The Cardinals are keeping catcher Yadier [[ YAH-dee-air ]] Molina on the active roster despite an oblique injury. He left Game Two against the Giants in obvious pain after grounding into a double play. Molina threw yesterday but did not swing a bat. The Cards' other catchers are Tony Cruz and A.J. Pierzynski [[ peer-ZIN-skee ]].

(Kansas City, MO) -- The Orioles and Royals will try again tonight to play Game Three of the American League Championship Series after it was rained out last night at Kauffman Stadium. Former Oriole Jeremy Guthrie is slated to start for Kansas City, while Baltimore will send Wei-Yin Chen [[ Way-Yin Chen ]] to the mound. First pitch is slated for 8:07 p.m. Eastern. The Royals lead the best-of-seven series two-games-to-none after winning the first two games in Baltimore. Game Four will now be played at 4:07 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday in KC, with Game Five, if necessary, at 4:07 p.m. on Thursday. The series would shift back to Baltimore for Game Six and Game Seven, if necessary, on Friday and Saturday.

(Phoenix, AZ) -- Chip Hale is the new skipper of the Arizona Diamondbacks. He was introduced Monday as the replacement for Kirk Gibson, who was fired with three games left in the season. Snakes general manager Dave Stewart says they wanted a manager they could build a foundation with. Hale served as bench coach for Oakland A's manager Bob Melvin the past three years and was previously a coach with Arizona under Melvin from 2007 to 2009. The D'backs had the worst record in the majors this season at 64-and-98.

(Detroit, MI) -- There will not be any changes made by Detroit Tigers general manager Dave Dombrowski to the team's coaching staff. Dombrowski tells the "Detroit News" that manager Brad Ausmus and his assistants are under contract, and the club expects the entire staff to return in 2015. The Tigers were swept in the American League Divisional Series by the Baltimore Orioles after winning their fourth straight A.L. Central title. Detroit has not won a World Series championship since 1984.
