Republican Bruce Rauner says he wants to become governor so he can jump start the economy and create more jobs. But during a debate last night, he tried to skip out on answering questions about how many jobs his companies have created in Illinois. Moderators wouldn't let him get away with that.

Rauner says his investment firm, which is called GTCR, couldn't have been one of the best in the nation if they weren't performing well. GTCR is based in Chicago and has more than 80 employees.
