Vice President Biden To Campaign In Illinois

Vice President Joe Biden is the latest political heavy weight to campaign in Illinois.

The vice president is expected to attend a rally in support of Democratic U.S. Rep. Brad Schneider on Wednesday. Schneider is in a race with Republican Bob Dold in Illinois' 10th congressional district.

Schneider narrowly bested Dold in 2012 and the rematch this year is both expensive and nationally-watched.

Schneider's campaign says the rally will be at a community center in the suburb of Vernon Hills.

Biden is one of many big-name, national politician to visit Illinois in recent days to campaign for Democratic candidates. President Barack Obama was in Chicago on Sunday to help Gov. Pat Quinn in his campaign against GOP challenger Bruce Rauner (ROW'-nur). Quinn campaigned Tuesday with former President Bill Clinton.
