A central Illinois man has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a girl in 2007.
According to reports, 41-year-old Hector Rosas of Rantoul entered the plea in Champaign County court to one count of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child. He faces six to 30 years in prison when he's sentenced in December.
Rosas admitted to assaulting a girl in 2007 who was about 10 years old at the time.
Assistant State's Attorney Troy Lozar dropped two other counts of sexual assault of the same girl in exchange for his plea. Lozar also agreed to dismiss four counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse in a separate case involving two girls in Champaign in 2011 and 2013.
