(Kansas City, MO) -- The Kansas City Royals have evened up the World Series at one game apiece after a 7-2 win over the San Francisco Giants in Game Two at Kauffman Stadium. Billy Butler singled in the go-ahead run during a five-run sixth inning for KC. Salvador Perez added a two-run double and Omar Infante followed with a two-run homer to blow the game open. Kelvin Herrera picked up the win in relief of rookie Yordano Ventura, who tossed five-and-a-third innings of two-run ball. Gregor Blanco hit a solo homer to lead off the game and Brandon Belt doubled in the other run in the fourth for the Giants, who won Game One 7-1 on Tuesday. Jake Peavy gave up four runs in five-plus frames to suffer the loss. The series shifts to San Francisco for the next three games starting with Game Three on Friday at AT&T Park.

(Kansas City, MO) -- Royals closer Greg Holland and Braves closer Craig Kimbrel are Major League Baseball's Relievers of the Year. Holland received the inaugural Mariano Rivera Award from commissioner-elect Rob Manfred before Game Two of the World Series last night for the American League. Kimbrel was presented with the Trevor Hoffman Award for the National League. Holland converted 46-of-48 save chances out of the Kansas City pen this season, while Kimbrel led the Senior Circuit with 47 saves. The awards were renamed this year in honor of Rivera and Hoffman, who rank first and second on baseball's all-time saves list.
