Farmers are in the fields harvesting their crops and according to some experts, they're putting their lives in danger every day. There were more than 80-thousand-Ag related injuries across the U.S. last year, most involved the big machinery.

That's Bob Ahern, a farm specialist with the U of I extension. He says farmers are often exhausted from working long hours, which could be a hazard while they're in the field and many accidents even involved children.

Farmers are encouraged to rest as much as they can and be careful as they push through the harvest season, especially when kids are working with them.
