Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler insists receiver Brandon Marshall did not single out him or anyone else during his outburst following the loss to the Miami Dolphins.

Cutler says Marshall "didn't come near me" and did not "say my name." He adds that the star receiver did not attack anyone personally with "what he was saying."

Cutler's comments Thursday came on the heels of a 27-14 loss at Soldier Field that raised all sorts of questions about the direction of the team.

Reporters standing in the hallway after the game overheard Marshall screaming in the locker room, part of an emotional postgame scene.

>>Bears Look To Continue Road Success Against Patriots

(Foxboro, MA) -- The Chicago Bears look to maintain their road success this Sunday when they play the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium. The Bears are 3-and-1 on the road this season with wins over the 49ers, Jets and Falcons. Chicago is 0-and-3 at home, however, after last Sunday's 27-14 setback to the Dolphins. Quarterback Jay Cutler was intercepted once and also fumbled three times, losing one in the loss. The Patriots blocked a late field goal try to hold off the Jets 27-25 in last week's Thursday night game. New England has won three in-a-row and five of its last six games to lead the AFC East at 5-and-2.

The Saints gave up a pair of touchdowns in the final four minutes in a 24-23 loss at Detroit in Week Seven. New Orleans is winless on the road at 0-and-4, but has won both of its home games against the Vikings and Bucs.

St. Louis executed a misdirection trick punt return and a fake punt to upset the defending Super Bowl champs and improve to 2-and-4. This is the first of three straight road games for the Rams. The Chiefs came off their bye and beat the Chargers 23-20 last Sunday in San Diego. It was the third win in four games for Kansas City, which is back at .500 on the season at 3-and-3.
