Local Veteran Taking Part in Honor Flight

 width=A local veteran is taking part in the Honor Flight to Washington, DC today and a local citizen is asking the community to help welcome him home tonight.

Clinton resident Tom Spencer will be going on the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight to Washington, DC today. Jeff Morlock helps local veterans in getting their paperwork together to go on the Honor Flight, he explains the veterans see all the sights that commemorate veterans of the country.

Morlock has been coordinating an escort for the veterans to return home to. State Police, County officials and Clinton Police escort the veterans home and then there are several veterans groups in town that work for a special welcome home when they arrive in Clinton.

Morlock has aided nearly 15 veterans to go on the Honor Flight and has personally escorted four to Washington, DC. Tonight at approximately 11 pm, Spencer will be returning to Clinton at the high school. He hopes as much of the community that is able will come and show support for Spencer and recognize him in his service of the country.
