Amazon plans to bring 1,000 full-time jobs to Illinois, calling it a $75 million investment in the state.
Company officials have not decided on a location but will begin site visits, however, State Representative Bill Mitchell believes that Macon County would be the perfect location for the company.
The online seller plans to open its first facility in the state next year. The hiring starts next year in Illinois and according to Amazon, the company plans on having 1,000 employees in the facility by 2017.
Amazon touts its full-time employee benefits, such as healthcare, 401K and innovative education programs.
