>>Details On Taveras Crash Released

(Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic) -- Details are emerging on the death of 22-year-old St. Louis Cardinals outfielder Oscar Taveras. TMZ Sports cites Dominican Republic police as saying Taveras was driving "very, very fast" on a wet a road Sunday when he lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a huge tree. Both the outfielder and his girlfriend were killed in the accident. The autopsy is ongoing, but there is no immediate evidence that suggests alcohol played a role in the crash. Weather is said to have played a part in the accident, as it was raining around the time of the crash and the roads were slippery.
