Dwight Police Close Double Homicide Investigation

The Dwight Police Department has closed its investigation into the slayings of two women in their home several months ago.

Police Chief Tim Henson said Wednesday that 27-year-old Joseph Sipple acted alone in the double homicide. Police identified the 27-year-old man as their main suspect in August. They say Sipple committed suicide when officers went to his home to arrest him for an unrelated burglary two weeks after the killings.

Police say the same gun Sipple used to kill himself was the one used to shoot 60-year-old Donna Denker and 30-year-old Kelli Denker in mid-June. Henson said ballistic tests confirmed it was the same gun.

According to reports, Sipple was also involved in an August 2013 burglary at the Denker home.
