A 3-year-old boy has been struck and injured by a car while trick-or-treating in a northern Chicago suburb.

Police in Winnetka say the accident happened at 6 p.m. Friday when the boy ran into the street.

He was taken to Evanston Hospital, where he was listed in good condition.

The 24-year-old driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with authorities.
