State Senator Sue Rezin says she was optimistic that Republican Bruce Rauner pull out a Vee in the governor's race. She says he's been incredibly successful in business and that will translate well when it comes to running the state.
She says he's proven himself to be a very hard worker.
Rezin says having a Republican governor gives them a seat at the table with one party control in the legislature. She adds that Rauner will be able to appoint agency heads that have a similar agenda that he has. On top of that, he can go through the budget with a fine toothed comb and veto things that he doesn't think should be there. Rezin says one of Rauner's first orders of business will be working out a plan to let the income tax rate rollback.
