Barickman says Rauner will need to clean up shop when he takes office, which means getting rid of some of the people who were put in place by Governors Quinn and Blagojevich [[ bla-GOY-uh-vich ]]. He says Rauner will represents a system of checks and balances that's been lacking in Illinois. The state has had a Democratic governor for the past 12 years but Rauner, who is a Republican, beat out Quinn by more than 160-thousand votes.
