Lunt Back For Illini

width=Wes Lunt will be back under center when Illinois faces Iowa Saturday. Illinois' receivers will be glad to see him.

Receiver Mike Dudek said Monday the Illini (4-5, 1-4 Big Ten) can feel a "different vibe" with Lunt back at quarterback.

Lunt is averaging 313.8 yards a game passing and has 13 touchdowns. But he's missed the last three games after breaking a bone in his left leg against Purdue.

Without him Illinois used the run more and picked up a win against Minnesota. But the Illini lost at Wisconsin and Ohio State.

Lunt says he's not worried about playing after the injury.

But offensive coordinator Bill Cubit says Illinois will need to run the ball better than it has so Iowa (6-3, 3-2) can't focus solely on Lunt.
