DJWH Board Seeks Management Firm To Run Hospital; New Interim CEO Named

The Dr. John Warner Hospital Board is seeking a management firm to operate the hospital.

Joanna Holtman, Chair of the Personnel Committee, tells Regional Radio News the committee has been charged to take the lead in this effort.

She indicates four Requests For Proposals, RFPs, have been sent out to Alliant Management Services, Community Hospital Corporation from Plano, TX, Health Tech Management Services from Tennessee, and Quorum from Brentwood, Tennessee.

Holtman indicates they are seeking information as it pertains to services, fees and other information.

Because of the upcoming holiday season, the Board has requested the information be sent back no later than January 15, 2015 with the board to review it and return correspondence by the end of February.

The hospital board has once before tried to bring on Alliant Management Services, but that attempt failed in late April as the Clinton City Council denied the request of the Hospital to amend their budget. The hospital is owned by the City of Clinton.

This news comes on the heels of Interim CEO Robert Wolleben resigning the post effective November 21. Rex McKinney from St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, IN has been named the new interim CEO.

McKinney will be the hospital's third interim CEO in the last six months.
