The Lincoln Heritage Committee of DeWitt County will be presenting a special community event tomorrow night.
The committee has been meeting for several years now. Their objective is to educate the community as much about Abraham Lincoln as possible. Several well-known local citizens help to make up the committee according to Treasurer Marian Brisard. She mentions their passion for Lincoln propels them to devote time to the organization.

Brisard notes the committee held their first annual Traditional Thanksgiving Dinner last year. The event was a great success and featured Max and Donna Daniels as Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln.

This Thursday will feature another traditional thanksgiving meal provided by Ferguson Barbeque and Catering. The Daniels' will also return to present a one-act play called "An Evening With Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln". Brisard explains the play will take place in April of 1865 and feature the Lincoln's reflections of major life events.

Doors will open at the Clinton United Methodist Church at 6pm with the meal served at 6:30. The cost is $15.00 per person.
