Medicare Part D Open Enrollment Continues

Open Enrollment for Medicare Part D is well underway and local seniors are encouraged to visit their local senior centers to get registered or make any changes for this coming year.

The Open Enrollment period allows seniors to compare different prescription drug plans. Rebecca Wheat, PATH Outreach Coordinator at the DeWitt County Friendship Center, encourages beneficiaries can set up an appointment to review their plans.

There are many ways Wheat can be of service to seniors during this enrollment period. She explains PATH can assist in merging all medications to one pharmacy, all they need to bring is a Medicare card and a list of medications.

Wheat is also able to provide home visits in DeWitt County and also makes frequent stops at the senior center in Farmer City. To set up an appointment or get more any questions answered, contact the Friendship Center at 217-935-9411.
