Kentucky, Duke Come Out of Big Time Matchups in Indy

(Indianapolis, IN) -- Number-one Kentucky is living up to the hype as it crushed number-five Kansas, 72-40, at Bankers Life Fieldhouse as a part of the Champions Classic. The Wildcats' depth shined through as Dakari Johnson led them with 11 points and Andrew Harrison was the only other player in double figures with 10 points. No player took more than eight shots as Kentucky improved to 3-and-0. The Jayhawks shot slightly under 20-percent from the field and were held to 12 points in the second half. Wayne Selden Junior had a team-high nine points. Kansas fell to 1-and-1.

(Indianapolis, IN) -- Quinn Cook led a balanced attack with 19 points and six assists as third-ranked Duke dropped 19th-ranked Michigan State 81-71 as part of the Champions Classic in Indianapolis. Jahlil Okafor added 17 points for the Blue Devils, who have opened the year with three straight wins. Tyus Jones also had 17 points in the victory. Branden Dawson had 18 points and nine rebounds for the Spartans, who dropped to 1-and-1. Travis Trice collected 15 points, six rebounds and eight assists in the loss.
