The DeWitt County Board's last lame duck session saw many controversial agenda items tabled while the 2015 Budget and Levy were approved.
5 items on the agenda failed to see a vote at Thursday Night's meeting, each being tabled by a vote of 6-5. The items tabled included:
-Adjusting the county levy from $1.5 million to $1.1 million.
-Adjusting the retirement fund for County employees, the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund, or IMRF, from $1.11-million to $900-thousand.
- Eliminating the liability insurance tort from $500,000.
- Eliminating the position of Assistant State's Attorney Lars Dunn
-Reducing the State's Attorney's budget salaries by $58,000
Each vote was tabled due to affirmative votes by Board Members Danny Ballenger, David Newberg, Camille Redman, Doug Tucker, Sue May-Whitted and Vice-Chair Pete Daugherty.
The 2015 Budget and Levy were also approved 6-5 with the same six voting in the affirmative.
