This year is shaping up to be the hottest on record.  U.S. and British scientists say the period from January to October 2014 is already among the warmest since record-keeping began in the 19-century.  Researchers call it a sure sign that global warming is being fueled by increasing greenhouse gas emissions.  The final figures for 2014 won't be in until early next year.  However, scientists say the data puts the Earth on track to eclipse 2010 as the warmest year ever recorded.
