Most Americans Won't Shop On Black Friday Or Cyber Monday

Move over Black Friday and Cyber Monday, there's a new sheriff in town.

Jeanine Skowronski with Bankrate.com says millennials make Black Friday more about the event than they do the deals.

Skowronski recommends looking up products online before heading into the store to make the purchase.

She feels a reason for the drop-off in crowds is because stores began pre-Black Friday sales as early as the beginning of November. The one demographic who's most likely to do their shopping on the Friday or Monday after Thanksgiving is millennials. The average Black Friday shopper is expected to spend about 400-dollars.
