Internet Activity Up Ahead Of Cyber Monday Shopping

It looks like many Americans spent their Thanksgiving weekends browsing online to gear up for Cyber Monday.  Verizon Wireless has released a new study to pinpoint the surge in online traffic ahead of the day devoted to online sales.  Based on the study's scale, starting on Black Friday, Internet activity on the sites of retailers soared by twelve points over a 24-hour period.  Traffic jumped up another three points on Saturday.  The week-long high was on Thanksgiving Day itself, going along with experts' guesses that consumers tend to do their research online before shopping.  Verizon found similar results for its 2013 analysis of online retailers as well.
