Many shoppers are going the digital route for the kids on their list this year. A new survey conducted by PlayCollective finds that 45 percent of parents with kids between two and 13 plan to buy an e-reading device like the Amazon Kindle. Half of those who already have a device plan to upgrade to a newer model. Three-quarters of all the respondents say they'll also be re-stocking their kids' collection of digital books, and plan on spending an average of 26-dollars on a list of new titles. The Kindle continues to be the most popular brand of e-reader, followed by non-iPad tablets, the iPad 4 and the iPad mini.
