School leaders from across the state convened in Chicago last month to discuss the future of schools and to share ideas to better education in Illinois.
The Illinois Association of School Boards Annual Conference last month was attended by Lincoln High School Superintendent Robert Bagby. He explains the conference gives many school boards the opportunity to join together to present workshops about professional development.
The conference features districts presenting on a wide variety of issues such as alternative learning and developing new superintendents. Bagby explains the topics usually contain relevant information that any school district can benefit from.
Bagby came away with several ideas to improve Lincoln High School over the coming years through teacher committees, budget planning and revenue forecasts among many others.
