IDOT and ISP Make Final Push To Save Lives On Illinois Roads In 2014

POLICE AND THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ARE MAKING A FINAL PUSH TO KEEP MOTORISTS SAFE ON ILLINOIS ROADWAYS THROUGH THE HOLIDAYS.

OVER THE LAST FIVE YEARS IN ILLINOIS…38 PEOPLE HAVE DIED OVER THE CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY. 29 PERCENT OF THOSE DEATHS INVOLVED A DRUNK DRIVER. SO FAR THIS YEAR…878 PEOPLE HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES ON ILLINOIS ROADS, WHICH IS THE LOWEST TOTALS RECORDED.
