Tremont Uses Big Second Half To Sink Maroons

As heard on The Big 1520 AM/92.3 FM WHOW and online at dewittdailynews.com Friday morning, the Tremont Turks used a 20-10 third quarter to get passed Clinton 64-51 to open the Williamsville Holiday Tournament.

 width=The Maroons cut a large second quarter deficit to one at the half, trailing 30-29, but Tremont raced out of the gates in the third and opened up a 50-39 lead going to the fourth and never looked back, as Clinton could not keep momentum going.

The Maroons were paced Friday morning by Bowe Carter's 18 points. Junior Jacob Overton added 12 and Connor Klitzing chipped in with seven.

For the Turks, Dylan Becue led all scorers with 24. Tyler McDonald had 10 and Connor McDonald added nine.

The Turks improve to 8-2 on the year. Clinton drops to 4-6.

The Maroons play at 9 am again on Saturday morning from Williamsville.
