A familiar face at the DeWitt County Museum will take the reins as its leader.
Current Assistant Manager Joey Woolridge (right) will take over the duties of Director on January 4th. She will be succeeding current Museum Director, Larry Buss, and will oversee many of the museum's daily functions.
Buss will take on the role of Tour Director at the Museum. He does not plan to depart and will continue be responsible for tours and various Apple and Pork Festival organizing responsibilities. He believes the museum has seen exciting changes since Woolridge has joined the team and is excited to see where it will go next.
Woolridge says she's looking forward to working closely with Buss and their Board of Directors while she transitions into the new position.
Woolridge began her current position as assistant director in 2013.
