(Chicago, IL) -- The Blackhawks erased a 3-0 deficit and beat the Predators, 5-4, in a shootout at the United Center. Jonathan Toews scored the only goal of the shootout. Bryan Bickell tied the game at four on a goal with 1:13 left in the third period. Corey Crawford turned away 36-of-40 shots for Chicago, which has won three-of-four. James Neal tallied his 12th and 13th goals of the season in the defeat. Pekka Rinne [[ PECK-uh REE-nay ]] gave up all four goals on 38 shots as the Predators have lost two-of-three. The Blackhawks lead Nashville by three points for first place in the Central Division.

(St. Louis, MO) -- Martin Brodeur denied all 16 shots he faced as the Blues blanked the Avalanche 3-0 in St. Louis. The NHL's all-time leader in shutouts recorded the 125th of his illustrious career. The 42-year-old also earned his first blanking in a Blues uniform. Dmitrij Jaskin, Chris Butler and Vladimir Tarasenko had the goals for the Blues, who put the brakes on a four-game skid. Seymon Varlamov made 22 saves for Colorado, which has dropped its last two.
