Agency Directors Stepping Down

Agency Directors at the state are most likely on the way out with the new Rauner Administration – and one isn’t waiting to move on.

Julie Hamos, Director of the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services says she will step down on January 9th.

Hamos started in 2010 and oversaw budget cuts to Medicaid and what she called “limited resources and bureaucratic hurdles”.

She was a former state lawmaker and oversaw $18 billion in Medicaid spending.
