As we enter 2015, the Blue Ridge Board of Education is going to invest time into update the district's strategic plan.
According to Superintendent Susan Wilson, it was last looked at about 18 months ago and the BOE recently decided they needed to go back and take a look at where that stands. She explains they plan to re-engage the public later this year.
As a part of the strategic plan, two primary focal points have been curriculum and technology. The math curriculum has been revamped and Wilson continues to be excited about how that is going. This year, she says this year's focus is English Language Arts.
Wilson notes, the Board in December went item by item on the current plan and found they have either completed their goals or they are well on their way to completion, thus the need to look at updating it once again.
