Senate Minority Leader Says Illinois Must Change Laughing Stock Status

It’s not just Illinoisans who are critical of their government, observers from around the country and around the world use Illinois as the butt of jokes and that needs to change. That’s according to State Senator Christine Radogno. During Wednesday’s inauguration of lawmakers in Springfield Radogno was selected the minority leader. Illinois News Network has more:

For twelve years Illinois was under one party rule, but that ended with Republican Governor Rauner’s election. The state’s poor finances are expected to take center stage for the new Governor and the General Assembly in the coming months.
