WHOW Hosting Farm Bill Meeting Wednesday

 width=The Big 1520 AM/92.3 FM WHOW is hosting a Farm Bill informational meeting Wednesday night sponsored by Peterson Insurance.

Richland Community College's Clinton Education Center will be the site for this event and according to Jay Peterson, owner of Peterson Insurance, it would be beneficial for farmers to come out and get valuable information on the upcoming farm bill.

As he makes his way across the area interacting with farmers, Peterson says a lot of his clients and others have a lot of questions about the upcoming farm bill. He feels farmers should attend several of these types of meetings, and encourages farmers to come out Wednesday for this one.

 width=Todd Gleason, host of the Closing Market Report heard weekdays on WHOW, will emcee. Guest speaker is Gary Schnitkey of the University of Illinois, an expert on the new Farm Bill, who will present remarks and answer farmers' questions.

The Wednesday gathering gets underway at 6:30 at Richland Community College's Clinton Education Center. The meeting is free and open to the public.
