The NHL All-Star Fantasy Draft takes place tonight. Team captains Nike Foligno [[ foh-LEE-noh ]] of the Blue Jackets and Jonathan Toews [[ Taves ]] of the Blackhawks will pick players from the All-Star roster regardless of conference to compete in Sunday's 60th NHL All-Star Game at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The league adopted the fantasy draft format during the 2010-11 season after previous years in which players from the Eastern Conference played against those from the Western Conference. Columbus was originally scheduled to host the All-Star Game in January 2013, but the game was postponed that year due to the NHL lockout and there was no game last year due to the Winter Olympics in Russia.
Saturday will see the All-Star Skills Competition, which includes the fastest skater, breakaway challenge, accuracy shooting, skills challenge relay, hardest shot and a shootout. Competing players will also represent Team Foligno and Team Toews during the Skills Competition.
