Bulls At Golden State Tonight; NBA Notes

 width=The Bulls begin a six-game road trip against the Warriors tonight. Chicago is coming off Sunday's 96-84 loss to the Heat. The Bulls have dropped three-of-five to enter the trek 29-and-17 on the season. Tip-off tonight is at 9:30.

(Undated) -- It will be a star-studded crew participating in the NBA's three-point shooting contest. Yahoo Sports reports the event will be headlined by Warriors guards Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. Hawks forward Kyle Korver, Blazers guard Wesley Matthews and Clippers guard J.J. Redick will also be joining them. There are six contestants for the event taking place on February 14th during the NBA's All-Star Saturday Night at the Barclays Center.

(El Segundo, CA) -- Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant will have surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder. A timetable for his return won't be determined until after the procedure on Wednesday morning. Bryant was hurt in last Wednesday's loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. This could be the third consecutive year Bryant undergoes season-ending surgery. He tore an Achilles tendon in April 2013 and broke a bone in his knee last season. The 36-year-old Bryant is averaging 22.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 35 games this season, his 19th in the league.
