Blues Win; Blackhawks Back Tonight

(St. Louis, MO) -- Kevin Shattenkirk potted the winning goal in the shootout as the Blues slipped past the Predators 5-4 at Scottrade Center. T.J. Oshie and Steve Ott scored just 26 seconds apart during a four-goal second period for the Blues, who have won three in-a-row and eight of their last nine overall. Jaden Schwartz and Ryan Reaves also lit the lamp and Brian Elliott made 33 saves in the victory. Mike Fisher had two goals and an assist, while Filip Forsberg and James Neal also tallied for Nashville, which has dropped three of four. Carter Hutton stopped 31 shots, but allowed two goals on four shootout attempts for the loss.

(New York, NY) -- Max Pacioretty's [[ PATCH-or-ETT-ee ]] goal with just over four minutes left in the third period lifted the Canadiens to a 1-0 win over the Rangers at Madison Square Garden. Pacioretty's 22nd tally of the year was assisted by Dale Weise [[ weece ]] and Alexei Emelin. Carey Price stopped all 24 shots he faced. Montreal has won four straight. New York was 0-for-2 on the power play. Henrik Lundqvist allowed the only goal on 26 shots. The Blueshirts have lost two in-a-row.

(Anaheim, CA) -- The Blackhawks resume their seven-game trek tonight in Anaheim against the Ducks. Chicago has split the first two games on the trip following a 4-3 loss in Los Angeles on Wednesday. The 'Hawks sit at 30-16-and-2 on the season. The Ducks are 32-11-and-6 after last night's 6-3 loss at San Jose.
