Clinton, Monticello Routed Tuesday Night

Four players scored in double figures and St. Joseph-Ogden shot 56% from the floor as they routed the Monticello Sages Tuesday night 70-50 at St. Joseph.

 width=Brandon Trimble led the way for the Spartans with 20 points. Tyler Harms added 19, Rylan Housenga added 15 and Jake Pence chipped in with ten.

Zach Fisher was the only player to reach double-figures for the Sages as he went for 20 points along with seven boards. Noah Freemon added nine points and Clay Becker chipped in with eight.

Daniel Peterson posted six rebounds as well.

The Spartans used a 22-5 second period to pull away and lead at the half 39-20 and never looked back as the Sages could only tally four team assists to 19 turnovers.

For Monticello, it is their first league loss, as they fall to 14-4 overall, and 4-1 in the new Okaw Valley Conference.

St. Joe ups their record to 17-3 and 4-1 overall.

The Sages host Rantoul Friday.
