Indianapolis Colts linebacker D'Qwell Jackson was arrested Tuesday on a charge of simple assault, according to Washington, D.C., police.

A police report obtained Wednesday by SportsNetwork.com reveals that Jackson was arrested after an argument with a driver over a parking space. The driver told authorities that Jackson punched him in the left side of the face and in the back of the head during the dispute.

Officers responded around 8 p.m. ET to a call about a disturbance at the 1900 block of 12th Street NW in Washington. Jackson was transported to the department's third district and released later that night.

According to multiple media outlets in Washington, the driver was a pizza delivery man who told Jackson that he was going to use the parking spot momentarily. Jackson became upset and allegedly assaulted the driver.

Jackson, 31, started all 16 games for Indianapolis this past season, recording 140 tackles and four sacks. He signed with the Colts last spring after his release from the Cleveland Browns.

>>Cowboys RB Arrested With Pot

Dallas Cowboys running back Joseph Randle was charged with possession of marijuana over an incident in Wichita, Kansas, early Tuesday morning.

According to Wichita police, Randle was charged of unlawful possession of marijuana at 2:53 a.m. Tuesday.

Officers responded to a domestic violence call involving a weapon at a hotel in the city, according to KSN-TV. They found Randle and a 22-year-old woman and observed a small amount of marijuana in the room, which was rented to Randle.

According to the report, an associate of Randle's had taken a handgun from the scene.

Randle was cited for possession and given a date to appear in court and police considered it an arrest because of the small amount of marijuana found in the room.

Randle's agent, Erik Burkhardt, disputed the use of the term "arrest." He says Randle was NOT arrested but cited with a ticket, and the police officer then left his hotel room.

He adds, "There was zero 'violence' of any kind, domestic or otherwise."

In October, Randle was arrested at Dillard's department store in Frisco, Texas, on a class B misdemeanor charge of theft between $50 and $500. The items he was accused of stealing were men's underwear and cologne.

Randle carried the ball 51 times for 343 yards and three touchdowns this past season.
